Z is for A-Z

We’ve had great fun with our A-Z blog in 2016, despite some being a tad more challenging than others (Q and X were perhaps pushing our luck), we hope all our posts have been useful…

As a busy year at Luxury In The Cotswolds comes to a close, we wanted to give you our highlights! Don’t worry it’s not the entire alphabet, just a few odd letters this time…

A is for Arlo

As a family, by far our most special moment of 2016 was the 22nd August – Laura, Chris, Isla Rose (& Marshall the Labrador) welcomed Arlo Joseph. He’s already well versed in the family business, from sitting in on meetings, decorating the trees at Christmas & attending many shopping trips, he’s quickly becoming accustomed (far too much perhaps) to our ethos of luxury!

B is for Blenheim Palace

Our favourite place to blow out the cobwebs on a family walk. This year Blenheim has provided us with fabulous entertainment – cue Auntie Tillie & Isla milking cows at Countryfile Live & the unprecedented experience that was Blenheim Lights this Christmas.

C is for Cornbury Festival

This year was another year to remember at Great Tew Park, with a lively Jamie Cullum, an hour of reminiscing baggy cargo pants and crops tops with All Saints & our absolute favourite returning artist – Newton Faulkner, who as with his previous visit had the entire crowd on their feet singing in tandem. We’re incredibly sad that 2017 will be the Cornbury Finale but with Bryan Adams already announced, it may just be the best yet.

F is for Farmhouse

The Summer & Autumn saw the final push on the renovations of Tew Farmhouse & with Dad announcing the renovations of the dining room 6 weeks prior to our first booking (said dining room was an outside wall 4ft high at the time) it was all hands-on deck! We are incredibly proud of our labour of love; all our guests have been so complimentary & with bookings coming thick & fast we hope you’ll come & stay soon!

L is for Labradors

2016 has been a busy year for our four legged friends. With regular swims in the sea at our holiday family home in Crackington Haven, sitting on the peg at the Great Tew Shoot, helping (or sleeping under the desk) in our office at Tew Farmhouse & Barns & general child entertainment/care – they are very much looking forward to a quiet January in front of the fire.

S is for The Snells

It’s been a long but lovely year for us all & in honour of our parents 25th Wedding Anniversary we decided to have a family portrait at the one place we’ve all been a part of – Tew Farmhouse & Barns. Here is a little insight into our fabulous photographer Ross Holkham’s work.

Now we could go on, but we know you’re all busy getting ready for a new start in 2017, so for now thank you for all your support & here’s to 2017.

Happy New Year!

We'll be in touch soon, with love

Laura & Tillie, Isla & Arlo, Willow & Marshall
